Whether you need a completely new lawn, to repair a tired patchy one, or regular treatments to keep it thick and healthy, we can help.

Turf & Lawn Care
Healthy, green lawns from the ground up
A good lawn is still at the heart of many gardens. At ADC Landscape and Garden Maintenance Contractors, we provide a full turf supply and installation service, along with ongoing lawn care and renovation to keep your grass looking its best.
Whether you need a completely new lawn, to repair a tired patchy one, or regular treatments to keep it thick and healthy, we can help.
New lawns: professional turfing
If your existing lawn is beyond saving, or you’re creating a garden from scratch, we can supply and lay quality turf on properly prepared ground.
Our turfing service typically includes:
- Site clearance – removing old turf, weeds and unwanted surfaces
- Ground preparation – levelling, rotovating and improving the soil where needed
- Correct levels and falls – making sure water drains away from buildings and doesn’t form puddles
- Topsoil (if required) – adding or redistributing soil for a better growing medium
- Turf laying – carefully laid in staggered joints, rolled and firmed for good root contact
- Edging and shaping – neat edges to paths, patios, borders and garden buildings
We’ll also talk you through watering and aftercare so your new lawn establishes quickly.

Lawn repairs & patching
Not every lawn needs to be completely replaced. We can often improve things with targeted repairs, such as:
- Cutting out damaged or worn patches and re-turfing just those areas
- Repairing edges along paths and flower beds
- Levelling small dips and hollows to make mowing easier and reduce puddling
This is ideal if most of your lawn is fine but there are a few problem spots letting it down.
Lawn renovation & improvement
If your lawn is thin, mossy or full of weeds, a structured renovation can make a big difference.
Depending on what your lawn needs, we can provide:
- Scarifying – to remove thatch and moss and allow grass to breathe
- Aeration – spiking or hollow-tining to relieve compaction and improve drainage
- Overseeding – applying new seed to thicken up the sward
- Top-dressing – levelling minor imperfections and improving the soil structure
- Weed and moss treatments (where requested) – to tackle the main issues
We’ll always be honest about what’s realistic, and if a full re-turf might actually be better value than repeated treatments.

Regular lawn care
For customers who want a consistently tidy, healthy lawn, we can build lawn care into regular gardening visits.
You choose how involved you want to be – we can either just handle the essentials or work to a more detailed lawn care plan.
- Routine mowing and edging
- Seasonal weed and feed treatments
- Spot-treating problem areas as they appear
- Adjusting cut height through the year to suit conditions

Dealing with problem lawns
If you’re struggling with any of these, we’re happy to take a look:
- Waterlogged or boggy lawns
- Lawns on steep slopes that are hard to cut
- Shaded lawns under trees or next to buildings
- Areas damaged by pets, children or heavy use
Sometimes the answer is lawn improvement; sometimes it might be better to combine turf with paths, patios, artificial grass or planting. We’ll explain the options so you can choose what suits you best.
Aftercare and advice
A new or renovated lawn needs a bit of care to get established. We’ll always provide clear, simple guidance on:
- Watering – how often and how much, depending on the weather
- First cuts – when to mow for the first time and at what height
- Traffic – how long to keep pets and heavy use off the lawn
- Ongoing maintenance – how to keep it healthy and looking good
If you’d rather not worry about any of that, we can build follow-up visits into the plan.
